Spring/Summer 2015

The Third Dimension

November 24, 2014

As we get closer and closer to a new year we slowly transition into not only a new understanding of fashion but also a new era of fashion statements, trends and eccentric tastes. Bringing in the new year doesn’t just mean a fresh start on life goals, personal challenges or struggles but a fresh start in life. New beginnings and new opportunities are awaiting us in the new year.

With that said a fresh start means, new trends and new trends means a wider variety of styles to try out and put on. This coming Spring/Summer 2015 brings in a trend that has been slowly making it’s way to the mainstream and is setting a new idea for fashion.

The Third Dimension has brought something fresh and artistic to the mix of fashion. That has been a huge push from the 2-D graphic plane to a more structured and three dimensional surface. For this coming Spring/Summer season we will be seeing new forms of embellishment and old live together with cut outs, passementerie, embossing and quilting which should be rather refreshing for the coming Spring and Summer. Also, a hint for what you can except for the comings seasons is more washed denims, white monochromes, boxy shorts, neutrals being maintained, prints and patterned pieces taking center stage and last but not least artistic flares. Artistic influences like Art Deco and Art Nouveau will be the talk of the town next year.

Here are some pieces of inspiration for the new year.
