Lucien Clarke ‘s groundbreaking partnership with Louis Vuitton was announced back in August. Months back, and we now have official photos of the skateboarder’s first LV pro shoe, after he previously took to Instagram to tease the sneaker designed in collaboration with Virgil Abloh. The shoe, titled “A View,” will come in at least three colors: blue, white and orange, and black and orange, as seen in the gallery above.
In his first post, Clarke said, “WHERE DO I START? I DESIGNED MY PRO SHOE FOR LOUIS VUITTON. AND SHOT A SKATE ADVERT FOR THRASHER 🤯NBD… THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING,” he added. “MAJOR SHOUT OUT TO VIRGIL FOR FLIPPING THE MF SWITCH!”
Abloh also used Instagram to touch the signing and show the shoes. “just signed Jamaica’s own @lucienclarke to Louis Vuitton as the first skater deal of this type,” he wrote. “gave him free reign to design his pro model. been filming clips for a year now.”
As mentioned in both posts, Clarke partnered with Thrasher for a full advertisement showing him wearing a Louis Vuitton shoe. At the end of the year, you should look forward to a matching video ad.
Clarke ‘s pro model will be the first skate shoe in Louis Vuitton’s 166 year history. The sneaker seems to have a layered suede with a mesh on the top, with the full name of the skater on the side. LV branding is applied to the tongue, while three monogram hits appear in the midsole towards the heel.
It remains to be seen when Clarke’s Louis Vuitton pro model is released, but as always, keep coming back here for more.
