The new edition of Louis Vuitton’s emblematic Tambour watch is influenced by the house’s classic Damier Graphite canvas, but the presence of Virgil Abloh is hard to ignore, given the familiar mix of green and black fluorescent.
This time, LV rejects its streamlined approach, opting for an athletic colorway that evokes Abloh’s daring menswear designs. The black strap comes with eye-catching green highlights and can be traded for an even bolder green version. The same green hues show on the dial.
The signature of the Gaston-Louis Vuitton V illuminates the entire dial, giving a new twist. The pattern of the Graphite Damier also occurs on the dial, below the indices and the hands. Meanwhile, the case is made of graphite-black PVD with a smoked gray sapphire case back.
Sporty, casual new watches are available as an automatic 41.5 mm diameter and a 46 mm diameter chronograph on Louis Vuitton’s website, with prices beginning at $5,750.
